Montlake Elementary, Your Neighborhood School
We are a small, neighborhood school known for our garden and art program as well as Special Education Access and Resource programs. We have a team of wonderful, dedicated, enthusiastic teachers and support staff at Montlake who are the backbone of our school – many of whom have been a part of Montlake for 10+ years (and some for over 20!).
For the next two years, our school will operate out of the John Marshall school in Ravenna. Same great school - just a different, temporary location.
We invite you to attend our new family and incoming Kindergarten school tours on:
• Wednesday, December 13 2023 at 8:15-9:00 a.m.
• Tuesday, January 16 2024 at 8:15-9:00 a.m.

2024 Winter Session
After School Enrichment Program
Montlake PTA is offering after school enrichment classes for the winter session, which runs Wednesday, January 3rd to Tuesday, March 26th.
An activity bus will run for the duration of the winter session to take students to childcare sites or back to the Montlake neighborhood after the enrichment classes. Launch students may also ride the Activity Bus. You must register for the Activity Bus to ride it in the winter session. Those riding the bus in the fall session must register again to ride it in the winter session.

Montlake Elementary Renovation
Montlake Elementary is being renovated. Work starts in the summer of 2023 and will complete by the fall of 2025. For two years, Montlake staff and students will be housed in a temporary location - in the John Marshall School, 520 NE Ravenna Blvd. Same great school, just different location!
We have compiled a FAQ about the move to John Marshall. Click the button to read more and scroll below to see some photos of our temporary home in Greenlake.

It truly takes a village. If you want to help a student, staff member or teacher, or even plan our next PTA community event - we want to know! Our community is dependent on our volunteers and so grateful for the extra help. Please click the button below to learn the process.
The Montlake PTA recognizes the impacts of recent events and the history of racial violence on our community. We stand in alignment with our Seattle Council PTSA, which has asked that students, families and school leaders work together to demand action against police brutality and the immediate cessation of victimization of our Black and Brown students and families. We are grateful to have a continued partnership with our own Montlake Equity & Inclusion team who is focused on racial equity within our community and Seattle Public Schools.
The Montlake PTA is dedicated to creating a warm and welcoming environment for all families. We provide opportunities for families to connect with other families through social gatherings and parent education events throughout the school year. We help families to stay informed about issues that impact our school (and Seattle Public Schools), and help parents to become knowledgeable and effective advocates for our children.
We support students and teachers through our annual grant to the school, which helps to fund some of the amazing programs that our students enjoy, and scholarships to make sure all students can participate. We’re always looking for volunteers, so let us know if you have skills in any area that you can share! We look forward to getting to know you!
